POSITION SUMMARY

MEPPI’s Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) is looking for a Manager of the Service Sales Management to oversee the Service Sales Manager organization to the strategic goals, sales plans and business plans established for the Division. In addition, the successful candidate will manage the development and execution of service sales management strategies to consistently achieve annual and long-term division growth objectives as well as company goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage all sales activities of the CPSD Service Sales Manager organization.
  • Support the development of sales plans and strategies to achieve Division sales goals and business plans. Track and report performance of sales efforts against sales goals. Present recommendations for improvement or change in strategy, policy, product, and procedures, including those related to product development and product launch.
  • Provide leadership, technical advice and direction, and general coaching to direct reports and others. Lead and oversee sales goal setting and goal achievement.
  • Prepare and manage budgets and staffing plans. Assist in resolving department-related operational, personnel and/or customer challenges and situations.
  • Develop and maintain contacts and relationships at customer organizations with key industry personnel. Represent CPSD in industry-related organizations and events. Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and events as appropriate.
  • Assist sales personnel in establishing personal contact, rapport, and technical credibility with key stakeholders at prospective or existing customers.
  • Support contract negotiations as needed.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on customer, market, and competitor activity and develop related recommendations to ensure business and sales plans are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with MELCO, TMEIC, MEUS and other MEPPI divisions and MELCO affiliate companies, as appropriate.
  • Support the advancement and commitment to software-related sales tools for the Division as needed.
  • Lead and manage staff according to Company policies and procedures to effectively achieve Company objectives. Develop employees by training, cross-training, and providing continuing education opportunities. Conduct performance reviews and provide input for salary and incentive decisions.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of MEPPI through effective dealings with customers and other internal departments and divisions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience selling power quality products or services and a minimum of 3 years of experience managing manufacture representatives, resellers, distributors, and direct reports, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced skills in developing and leading teams.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills required to communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and material.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and CRM software.
